Will the AO be getting a section of tickets for the USA-Cuba game in DC on October 11th? If so, when will they become available?

The Screaming Eagles are working on hotel bloc, meet up place, tgate and tifo (you know, the stuff in the stands). We need some feed back on hotel, when are people coming in, Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun (or some of each). Just helps with the room bloc. Let me know at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it We're looking at metro accessible of course (and you want 5 star places, right?) Downtown is always going to be $$ so Crystal City/Pentagon City is probably where we'll plant folks.

For tifo coordination (flags, banners, etc. contact Tim at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )

If people have questions, let me know.

I'm sorry to report but after calling around and looking around on the net it seems people can get MUCH better rates using hotels.com and such on their own than if the SEs got a bloc of rooms. There are two MAJOR events in the city that weekend, IMF/World Bank Fall mtg and something is at the convention center so rooms in DC are either getting booked up or pretty $$$ so your best bet is to look in Crystal City, Rosslyn, Arlington, Alexandria and Pentagon City (and do so sooner than later).

Use sites like tripadvisor.com to get read on what hotels are like and their surrounding neighborhoods. If you have questions about a specific neighborhood, please feel free to give me a yell at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Fri night meet up, tgate and post game party info coming soon
