The Hype

You’ll have to forgive us. The team of trained monkeys that write the pre-game hypes? Well…. they’re not so good at reading calendars and totally dropped the ball on last week’s game.

Not to worry, though, because we’ve got them back on their typewriters banging away to get your ready for Friday night’s match against Canada, eh.

Last week the USMNT showed some stones twice coming back from a goal down and then let Iceland #FeelTheBirn when debutant Steve Birnbaum sealed a 3-2 win to open 2016.

To finish off #CampCupcake we invited our neighbors to the North for a little Southern hospitality.

These syrup sippers and their bird lips are going to have to pass through passport control with a big “L” post-match.

We’re keeping an eye on some of the new kids getting some action…. Maybe Jordan Morris puts seven or eight past the largest undefended border in the world?

We’re hoping Canada, eh, doesn’t mountie much of a defense, but you never know… this is definitely one of the strongest Canadian flocks in the last twenty years. Cyle Larin was like a moose on the loose through the Yukon Territories in MLS last season.

We’ve had secret agents deep into the Maple Leaf region in Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore (you, too, Tim Parker and Eric Miller) so we’re going to give Canada, eh, the slap shot treatment tonight.

Here are the rosters:

USMNT Roster
