What is gameday like in the AO Section? Are nonmembers invited?
There is always an AO pregame event (usually at a bar or tailgate), from which everyone marches (while singing) to the stadium and into the supporters section. Everyone is invited to be in the supporters section who is ready to stand for the whole game and be loud. Singing along with the group is obviously encouraged; i.e. less Bob Segers and more Silver Bullets. The supporters section is almost always general admission.
Do my AO Caps/Tickets Count Towards U.S. Soccer Levels?

“For U.S. Soccer Members who are also part of the American Outlaws, we will not have record of your attendance for most past matches, but absolutely will count matches attended with tickets purchased from AO. Receipts, email confirmations, or videos of you standing and singing will all be welcome forms of proof of attendance.
For Future matches: We have worked with the American Outlaws leadership to ensure that all future tickets purchased from AO will count towards Caps as well.”
How do I start a chapter?
If there isn’t already a chapter in your area, the best thing to do is find a bar thats willing to show EVERY game, and start telling everyone you know to meet there. When you start getting close to 25 paid members, email firstname.lastname@example.org and you he can help start he process to official chapter status. How does the chapter ticket discount work?
Each chapter can make one large ticket order for a game, for which all tickets will be at the member price, and will not require verification. For instance, if Lincoln NE has 13 members and 10 nonmembers who want to go to a game, the chapter president of Lincoln can collect their money and order 23 member priced tickets from AO National.
Why don’t I get the AO emails?
When you sign up, we usually get the email address associated with your paypal. If you would like your email to be different, just email email@example.com and tell us which email you prefer.
What is the 1 year term of your AO Membership?
Your AO membership is good for 1 full year from the day you sign up to the same day the following year. Example.. If you become a member on May 6, 2014 you will be a member till May 6, 2015, when you will need to renew if you aren’t on auto-renew subscription.
How do I change my membership renewal date?
To change your renewal date, you can cancel your current subscription with us via PayPal and re-register for a membership at http://www.theamericanoutlaws.com/membership on the date you wish your renewal to occur.
To check if you have a automatic renewal setup or cancel autorenewal
Login to PayPal. Click “My Account” (top tab), “Profile” (just under top tabs on right), “My Money” (on the left), “My Pre-approved Payments,” “Update,” “The American Outlaws” (If “Active,” you will be auto-renewed.. Click “Cancel” if you do NOT want it to renew.)
If AO does not show up, or it says “Cancelled,” you will need to renew yourself (which can be done just like a new member would, by going to www.theamericanoutlaws.com and clicking MEMBERSHIP)
When will my gear get here?
We process orders on Sundays and Wednesdays, and ship orders on Mondays and Thursdays. We mail all orders via USPS First Class Mail. We do not send out shipping confirmations, nor do we have any type of tracking system for our orders.
You can expect to receive an order within 2 weeks of the date of purchase, provided the item is not on backorder. If you do not receive your order after 2 weeks, please contact us.
When will my tickets get here?
Typically, US Soccer will send them to us a week or two after the deadline for tickets is up, and they will be out to you 3-4 mailing days after that. ALWAYS check to make sure your paypal shipping address and email address are correct.
If I’m a member, can I order 5 member priced tickets for my friends who are not members?
No. Each member ticket (usually $5 cheaper) must be for a member. You can order both together by putting in your # of member tickets, then hitting CONTINUE SHOPPING, and select NONMEMBER TICKETS.
How do I get the discount codes (ie for bigsoccershop.com, United Airlines, etc)?
These were sent to members in an email. If you didn’t get the email, you should email firstname.lastname@example.org and inform us of your preferred email address, and ask for the code.
What’s with our Name:
Our name came about in 2 ways.
- When we started bringing soccer fans together to watch soccer and travel to US games in Nebraska (not known for soccer), we were part of an outlier group of sports fans, in a sea of American football, baseball, and NASCAR fans. We felt we were outlaws of the sports world, supporting a sport that most people didn’t know much of or care about. But we soon found out that many cared and many knew, no matter the size of your town.
- We decided to show that we were sports outlaws, but weren’t small in numbers, by sporting what the old American wild-west outlaws wore, the bandanna. We wanted to show we are proud of being American and proud to be a soccer fan in America! It also makes for a site to see in the stands!
